'I guess one of the reasons that I've never been a very good private detective is that I spend too much time dreaming of Babylon.' - Richard Brautigan, Dreaming of Babylon (1977) Dreaming of Babylon brings celebrating both confusion and shifts of meaning. The project mixes image and conceptual art to create a dialogue between individuals and their environment, exploring ideas of communication, identity and human condition. Agnes b launches a group exhibition of collaborative site specific works, using different signatures to translate a constant theme: real vs. imagined. Drawing on ancient mythology and popular culture, ’Dreaming of babylon’ maps a route from our post modern real world, toward a vertual poetic space. Accompanying this project is a full colour catalogue with supporting material. For more information on the exhibition, participating artists and high resolution images contact: |
